From the MHS Website:
Three historical markers with outdated language were replaced and ready for viewing in 2012. The content of the new signs was reviewed by an MHS historical marker committee, as well as by Dakota consultants and the MHS Indian Advisory Committee.

On May 29, 2017, this review was updated and separated into 3 reviews:

  1. Acton Incident Sign
  2. Fort Ridgely Site Sign
  3. Wood Lake Battle Sign
